Poly is operated as a project of 1up.style.
1. Service description
Poly is a browser-based tool for generating low-poly (triangle mesh) pattern images. Low-resolution PNG downloads (capped at 250px on the long edge) are free and require no payment or account. A one-time payment of $5 USD unlocks a high-resolution PNG at your chosen canvas size plus a scalable SVG file of the same pattern.
2. Free preview downloads — personal trial use only
The free preview download (a PNG capped at 250px on the long edge) is provided so you can trial a pattern and check how it looks in a layout (a "comp" / placement check) before deciding to purchase. This free preview is for personal, non-commercial trial use only. It may not be used in any commercial, public-facing, or for-profit context — including websites, published social media posts, marketing materials, products, or client deliverables.
3. Purchased high-resolution downloads — commercial use allowed
Once you complete the one-time $5 USD payment, the resulting high-resolution PNG and SVG files may be used freely for both personal and commercial purposes — for example on websites, social media, in print, in presentations, and as a background or design element in products or packaging — royalty-free, with no attribution required. Your one-time payment covers ongoing use of that downloaded file; there is no subscription or recurring fee.
4. Prohibited uses (applies to both free and purchased images)
Regardless of whether an image was downloaded for free or purchased, the following are never permitted: reselling or redistributing the pattern images themselves — as-is, or repackaged as templates or stock-asset material — to third parties; claiming authorship or copyright ownership of the patterns generated by this service; and using a pattern as the primary element of a trademark, logo, or brand mark. Using a generated image as one element within a larger creative work you sell (for example, a poster design, a website, or a product listing) is fine.
5. Payment and refunds
High-resolution export costs a one-time $5 USD, charged via credit card through Stripe. Because the product is a digital file delivered immediately after payment, purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by law or in the event of a technical failure that prevents delivery.
6. Disclaimer
Poly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service or the images it generates, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time as the service evolves. Changes take effect as soon as the updated terms are posted on this page.
