Privacy Policy
Poly is designed to be as stateless as possible: we don't ask you to create an account, and we don't run a database of user information.
Payment processing
When you purchase a high-resolution export, payment is processed entirely by Stripe, Inc. Your credit card number and other payment details are sent directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. See Stripe's own privacy policy for details on how they handle payment data.
What we handle
The only data associated with a purchase is your pattern's generation parameters — canvas size, cell size, jitter amount, color palette, seed, stroke settings, and so on. These are embedded directly in the Stripe Checkout session (as the client reference ID and metadata) so that your file can be regenerated and downloaded after payment, without us needing to store anything ourselves.
Accounts and cookies
Poly does not have user accounts and does not use a database. Beyond the access analysis described below, we do not set cookies for tracking purposes. Stripe's own checkout pages may set cookies required for payment processing and fraud prevention, governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
Access analysis
When enabled, Poly uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects anonymized usage data such as which pages are viewed, your approximate region, and device type. No personally identifying information is tied to this data, and it is processed by Google in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. You can opt out via your browser's cookie settings or by installing Google's official opt-out browser add-on.
